The Casa da Augusta was, for many generations, the Butter Dairy of Monte do Freixo do Meio, serving as the place where those who came for farming, work, ate, rested, and took shelter. At that time, it was a small dwelling of central importance to the community’s daily life.
Today, it is a local accommodation with capacity for eight people, featuring four double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a shared kitchen equipped with all the necessary utensils to prepare your meals.
Casa da Professora was inaugurated in 1945 by Professor D. Maria Cecília Moraes, who lived there for thirty years. A native of Vidigueira, she was a dedicated and committed example to the noble mission of teaching literacy. The house is now a family residence where you can stay in full contact with the montado.
This accommodation features two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. It has a capacity for 4 people. You can also enjoy a small south-facing terrace with privacy, set in the midst of our Alentejo estate, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset or admire the starry sky that graces us every night.
During your stay, you will be immersed in the main estate, which is the center of our organization’s daily activities. We invite you to observe the weekly routine of the Protected Area and experience life close to our community—a unique privilege for those staying with us!
