The “Origins” tour focuses on aspects of archaeology and the evolution of the *montado* across various historical periods, with a particular emphasis on the Neolithic period.
During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to observe a Neolithic settlement currently being excavated and studied. This archaeological work is led by Manuel Calado and his team of specialists.
Additionally, the tour includes an exploration of a replica Neolithic village. This space was recreated by Manuel Calado using experimental archaeology techniques to simulate life in a settlement over 7,000 years old.
This immersive experience provides a deep understanding of prehistory and the scientific methodologies used to uncover the lifestyles of our ancestors.
